Smoking Cessation

Nicorette Icy White Gum should be used for at least 3 months. Then, gradually reduce the use of the gum. Treatment should be discontinued when the dose is reduced to 1–2 pieces of gum per day.
Smoking Reduction
Medicated chewing gum facilitates smoking cessation for those who are unwilling or unable to quit. To extend smoking breaks and to minimize the number of cigarettes smoked, the gum should be used between cigarettes when the urge to smoke arises. If you do not achieve a reduction in the number of cigarettes smoked per day after 6 weeks, consult your doctor.
You should consider trying to quit smoking as soon as possible, but no later than 6 months after starting treatment. If a serious quit attempt is not possible within 9 months of starting treatment, consult your doctor.
Regular use of gum for longer than 12 months is generally not recommended. Some former smokers may require longer treatment to avoid returning to smoking. Unused gum should be kept in case of sudden cravings.
Support groups should be consulted, as they can enhance the quitting process and help ensure successful completion of treatment.
Temporary Abstinence
Nicorette Icy White Gum therapeutic chewing gum helps smokers temporarily abstain from smoking. The gum should be used between cigarettes when the urge to smoke arises, for example, in places where smoking is prohibited or in other situations where smoking is desired. This product should not be chewed continuously like regular gum, as the nicotine is released too quickly and swallowed. This can cause hiccups, heartburn, and even irritation of the mouth and stomach. Nicorette Icy White Gum should be chewed slowly, taking regular breaks.
Chewing technique:
Chew the gum slowly until you notice the taste.
Then stop chewing and place the gum between your gum and cheek.
Restart chewing when the taste disappears.
